Legal Compliance & Advisory Centre

The case is prepared here. It is conducted in court by your Advocate.

A legal and business consultancy in Bangladesh, advising across investment, corporate, maritime, banking, land, energy, trade and dispute strategy.

The principle we work by

The Advocate conducts the case in Court; the Legal Consultancy prepares the case for Court.

Founded and led by a retired Justice of Bangladesh

Our role

Prepare the case. Strengthen the advocacy.

The objective is not to replace courtroom advocacy, but to strengthen it — through superior preparation, evidence analysis, legal research, strategic planning and continuous case management.

The Consultancy

  • Assesses the legal and commercial position
  • Preserves and organises the evidence
  • Builds the case brief and the issue matrix
  • Prepares examination and cross-examination strategy
  • Manages the matter and updates the strategy

The Advocate

  • Files and conducts the proceedings
  • Appears and argues before the court
  • Carries professional court representation

Where court proceedings are required, we coordinate with the Advocate engaged for the matter — including, where the case calls for it, reputed Senior Advocates of the Supreme Court.

How we work

From first letter to conclusion

  1. 01

    Write to us

Send a short note describing the matter, with any documents you already hold.

  2. 02

    We assess and advise

We review the papers, explain the position in plain language, and agree the scope and fee before any work begins.

  3. 03

    We see it through

We prepare the documentation, liaise with the relevant offices or counsel, and keep you informed to completion.

Dispute prevention & resolution

Prevent first. Resolve early. Litigate strategically.

Most disputes are decided long before anyone reaches a courtroom — by what was written down, and what was not. Whichever position you are in, there is something useful to do now.

If no dispute has arisen yet

This is the cheapest moment to act. We put the documentation and controls in place that stop most disputes from ever starting.

  • Strong corporate documentation
  • Thorough legal & commercial due diligence
  • Comprehensive shareholders' & JV agreements
  • Carefully drafted commercial contracts
  • Properly documented board & corporate decisions
  • Continuous regulatory compliance monitoring
  • Internal grievance & dispute-management mechanisms
  • Periodic legal, tax & compliance audits
  • Secure corporate record-keeping

If a dispute has already begun

We work through a set sequence, and tell you where you stand at the end of each stage.

  1. 01

    Assess the position

Identify the client's rights, liabilities, risks and realistic remedies.

  2. 02

    Preserve evidence

Secure contracts, correspondence, financial records and corporate documents.

  3. 03

    Choose the strategy

Decide whether negotiation, settlement, mediation, arbitration or litigation is commercially right.

  4. 04

    Negotiate & mediate

Seek an early and commercially sensible resolution wherever possible.

  5. 05

    Support the proceedings

Develop the case strategy and coordinate with the Advocate for court or arbitral proceedings.

  6. 06

    Urgent protective measures

Where legally available, pursue injunctions, interim relief and other urgent remedies.

  7. 07

    Enforcement & recovery

Assist in enforcing judgments, arbitral awards and settlement agreements.

  8. 08

    Cross-border recovery

Where the opposing party or assets sit abroad, assist with international enforcement strategy.

Questions

Common questions

No. We are a legal and business consultancy. We assess the matter, prepare the case, handle the documentation and manage the strategy — and where formal proceedings are required, we coordinate with the Advocate engaged to conduct them.

The Advocate conducts the case; we prepare it. That means a complete case brief, an issue-wise evidence matrix, witness and cross-examination analysis and continuous strategy review — so the Advocate enters the courtroom fully prepared.

For most matters we agree a fixed fee or a written quote before any work begins. For continuing work, a monthly or annual retainer is available. Costs are clear from the outset.

Yes. We advise foreign investors and non-resident Bangladeshis on market entry, investment structure, repatriation, cross-border recovery and family matters, in English or Bangla.

No. Where we facilitate a property or office-space transaction, we assist with the introduction and the legal side only. We do not involve ourselves in any monetary transaction between the parties.

By email. Write to us describing the matter and we will reply with the position and the way forward.
