Insurance Claims & Recovery

Coverage review, loss quantification, negotiation with insurers and recovery of rejected claims.

What it is

Insurers decline claims on the wording, on the evidence, or on the timing. We examine the policy against the facts of the loss, assemble the documentation that establishes entitlement, and hold the insurer to the cover that was actually sold.

What this covers

Claim Assessment & Coverage Review

Examining the insurance policy, coverage, exclusions, conditions and the circumstances of loss to determine the client's legal entitlement.

Claim Preparation & Documentation

Quantifying the loss and preparing the supporting documents, evidence, reports and correspondence required for an effective claim.

Negotiation with Insurers

Communicating and negotiating with insurers, surveyors and loss adjusters to secure fair and timely settlement, and challenging unjustified deductions or repudiation.

Recovery & Dispute Resolution

Where a claim is rejected, delayed or underpaid, developing strategies for negotiation, mediation, arbitration or litigation, and coordinating with the Advocate where court proceedings are required.

How we work

  1. 1Read the policy against the facts of the loss
  2. 2Quantify the loss and assemble the evidence
  3. 3Present the claim and negotiate the settlement
  4. 4Escalate to ADR or proceedings if refused

Typically needed

  • The policy schedule and full policy wording
  • Claim intimation and the insurer's response
  • Survey or loss adjuster's report
  • Evidence of the loss and its value

Our core role

Assess the coverage, establish the loss, strengthen the evidence, negotiate the recovery and, where necessary, enforce the client's rightful claim.
